Diwali 2026 Cultural Program & Talent Show

ICAM, with support from The Hindu Samaj Temple, warmly invites you to join us for the Diwali 2026 cultural celebration — an evening honoring Indian heritage through music, dance, and community talent. We welcome your participation and look forward to celebrating the Festival of Lights together.  🎶🎭✨

Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026 

Location: Byron High School, Byron, Minnesota 

ICAM warmly invites everyone — audience members, volunteers, and program participants — to join us for a joyful ramp walk celebrating your unique cultural style. 

Showcase your personality, dress in meaningful cultural attire, and walk the ramp solo, or with your entire family. You may also walk with your friends/group! 

• No registration required 
• Open to all 
• You may participate even if you’re already in two programs 

📝 Cultural Program Registration Details

Registration opens September 19, 2026 and closes once all slots are filled. Please review the guidelines carefully; entries that do not follow them may be waitlisted. 

• Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until all time slots are filled.  
• Once the schedule is full, no exceptions can be made.  
• A waitlist will be maintained and accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis, but a spot is NOT guaranteed. 
• Late submissions will be waitlisted and considered only if time allows 

👶 Special Dance Performance for Ages 5 and Under

ICAM is organizing a joyful dance performance just for children aged 5 and under!

• Participation is only through this ICAM-led program.  
• Interested in helping with choreography or management? Please contact us by email support@icamn.org 

👧👦 Group Performances (Ages 6+) 

Please come together to celebrate Indian arts and culture with your group! 

• Minimum 3 participants 
• Solo entries NOT accepted 
• Maximum performance length: 4 minutes 
• Have a creative idea? We’re happy to help, please reach out via email 

👯 Duet Performances

A limited number of duet spots are available and selected by committee review. 

• Both performers MUST actively participate 
• Please submit a 1.5 to 2‑minute video by September 30 for consideration 
• Group performances will receive preference to accommodate more community members 

🎥 Review & Submission Guidelines

To help us plan the program, please submit the following by October 5: 

• A preliminary video (1–1.5 minutes recommended) reflecting your theme 
• A Final list of participants 

📤 A video upload link will be shared September 23–29. We will also collect promotional videos - stay tuned for details! 

📅 Final Video Submission Deadline

• Please submit your complete performance video by October 14. This does not need to be your final polished performance, but it gives the review committee an opportunity to plan the entire event and provide feedback to enhance your unique program. Please note that we recognize this will not be a stage ready video, but it gives the review committee and opportunity to plan the entire event, align program themes to ensure every program is optimally showcased! 

🔁 Participation Limits

To ensure fairness:

• Each participant may join up to two performances. 
• Additional entries will be placed on the waitlist. 
• Program Coordinators please track your participant's entries and ensure they are not participating in more than two programs.  
• Program Coordinators must share guidelines with each member of their group. 

📣 Communications

• Only program coordinators should contact ICAM about their programs, backup coordinator information is welcome 
• If any participants are involved in more than one performance, coordinators may submit requests for performance order adjustments before October 15. These requests will be reviewed but cannot be guaranteed. 
• Program coordinators should promptly email ICAM with any additions or removals to their participant lists. 
• The ICAM board and review committee may adjust event details as needed; all decisions are final—we appreciate your understanding and support in executing this phenomenal community event.
